CSX SYSTEM 
In November 1980 the CSX Corporation was formed from the Chessie System 
and the SCL System roads.  The Chessie and the SCL continued to operate 
independently.  In 1983 the Seaboard System was formed with the 5 roads, 
SCL, L&N, Clinchfield, A&WP and the WRA.  New paint schemes for the 
Seaboard System were developed and applied to these roads.
